GIS Innovation Sdn Bhd (GISI) has officially started business on the 2nd January 2002 as core business GIS or Geographic Information Systems. Our company has implemented since then many systems for both private and public sectors. Our core business is:
1. GIS Training:
We have been involved in several training sessions starting from General GIS training to Software training involving ArcView 3.x, ESRI's ArcGIS 8.x and 9.x, Avenue, ArcPAD, Safe Software's Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) and Interoperability extension for ArcGIS.
GISI has also written custom training courses tailored for clients with special requests including GAS, earth sciences, surveying and data manipulation.
Our company has not stopped providing training GIS courses in Malaysia only, but has also conducted training classes in other Asian and African countries. This involved training in different languages including Malay, English and Arabic.
The number of students who have taken part in our courses exceed 150 as per October 2006.
2. Application development
GISI has developed many applications using ArcView 3.x Avenue programming language, ArcGIS' ArcObjects, ArcPAD Application Builder and Visual Basic (for VB, applications related to GIS) mainly for the Malaysian market.
Using Safe Software's technology, we can also create custom data conversion templates from over 180 different formats in which include all ESRI's formats, all MapInfo formats, dxf, dgn, dwg, SICAD ...
3. Mobile GIS
GISI has successfully embarked into Mobile GIS solutions using the best commercially available PDA's in the market running ESRI's ArcPAD. Together with some highly performing hardware brands such as Garmin (for GPS), Otterbox for the rugged casings and other GPS accessories such as passive and active antenna's for connecting the Garmin GPS with PDA's through the I/O ports.
Our cost effective solutions have been proven usable and stable with a minimum support intervention from our side taking in consideration the user friendly interface created, the well written documentations and also the robustness of the material.
4. Formats Conversion
For the past four years, GISI has positioned itself as a leader in data conversion in Malaysia, providing robust tools to get interoperability between systems possible. Solid templates are provided to our clients who wish to distribute their data and receive data from various sources without any hassle.
GISI has also provided many consultancy services for companies in Malaysia requiring second opinions or solutions as a whole. We are glad to be versatile in terms of disciplines and providing sharp advices to our clients to whom we have never failed.
As a conclusion, GISI is still a young company in Malaysia the market and it has proven resolving spatial problems using GIS to many clients.
