Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) and ArcGIS Interoperability extension: Searching for ways to view data directly from your ArcGIS software? SAFE Software Inc. the the developers of Feature Manipulation Engine and SpatialDirect provide the FME ArcGIS Extension which allows you to load data from their native formats to ArcCatalog and subsequently ArcMap. It is powered by FME ESRI to allow reading and writing data from over 130 different formats (some include extra costs Plug-ins) and many powerful transformers which allow vector or data manipulation (including building polygons). On the other hand, SAFE Software and ESRI has jointly developed the ArcGIS Interoperability extension which has the same capability, but can convert only 70 format and use less transformers for a lower budget. The ArcGIS Interoperability extension could be purchased from ESRI South Asia or any of their business partners. If you are an existing user of the ArcGIS interoperability extension, you could purchase from us an upgrade to FME for ArcGIS and enjoy the full capabilities of the software. Some of the capabilities provided by FME besides the one to one conversion over are mainly building polygons, creating TIN, contouring, Generalize lines ... (a complete list of the capabilities are included in here) The list of the latest formats supported by ESRI's Interoperability extension and FME ESRI is available here.

MyGIS stands for: MY for "Malaysia" and GIS for "Geographic Information System". It was created and started as a GIS Club on the web by Lyes MOKRAOUI. MyGIS is not a product dependant club as you could see in our discussion rooms. Remember that there is no "bad" or "good" software in the industry. Different software would serve different needs ... Our visitors could request for additional discussion rooms if they want and once approved, it would be done free of charge. Your feedback is very important to us, so please let us know what you would like to see on this site that you cannot find anywhere else. Sincerely yours, MyGIS
