hye.. i just recently knew about this GIS thingy.But then, I am so sure that I am going to build this system from scratch using c++ code and it's going to interface with the user.The first thing i should learn is the point in polygon algorithm(to determine where u r when u point to a place on the map) as well as shortest route algorithm (to find shortest route to a place).Has anyone here any idea of what these things are? And how can i relate to the c++ code by simple means?one more question...I am not so sure what is the user interface that is suitable for this system,provided i have some digital maps at hand. thanx
