Hey all, Was looking for a bit of help, when using the ArcView GIS package I have selected data points for forests in Scotland, however I wish to buffer these by 5Km in order for the different forests to be connected. Once the buffering is done it gives a much larger area including forest and open land space. Is it possible to work out the area of these buffer zone as is does not seem to want to do this?

Hello, It depends on what you really want to do with the software. ArcView 8.x has incorporated some minimum but yet useful tools. You could check out ESRI web site for further info. Good Luck
