The QGIS-FME Form Connector plugin is a powerful tool that bridges QGIS and FME, enabling seamless data transformation and workflow automation between these two platforms. This plugin allows QGIS users to leverage FME’s robust and powerful data transformation capabilities directly from the QGIS interface. Hence, in order to use this plugin, the users must make sure FME Form is installed and licensed to run. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

It includes a default FME workspace (template) to help you get started. The template can be customized to the users needs. The workspace is located in the plugin folder directory under “FME Workspace\/QGISFMEFormConnectorTemplate.fmw” or you can download it below:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The plugin can be downloaded from the official repository, <\/span>QGIS plugins<\/span><\/a> or directly from QGIS plugin manager (<\/span>QGIS manual<\/span><\/span><\/a>).<\/font><\/p>\n

QGIS-FME Form Connector has been developed using QGIS 3.34.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

To install the QGIS-FME Form Connecto<\/strong><\/i>r<\/strong> plugin:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Open QGIS.<\/span>
2. Navigate to Plugins > Manage and Install Plugins..<\/strong><\/i>.<\/span>
3. Select All <\/strong><\/i>tab.<\/span>
4. Search for QGIS-FME Form Connector<\/strong><\/i>.<\/span>
5. Click Install Plugin<\/strong><\/i>.<\/span>
6. Restart QGIS if prompted.<\/span><\/p>\n

After installation, the plugin can be accessed through:<\/span><\/p>\n

Before using the plugin, ensure you have:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Access to FME workspaces (.fmw files).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Default .fmw workspace filename is \u201cQGISFMEFormConnectorTemplate.fmw\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

      Selecting a Workspace:<\/span><\/p>\n


      1. Use the file browser to navigate to your FME workspace directory.<\/span>
      2. Click on an .fmw file to select it.<\/span>
      3. The workspace details will automatically load in the left panel.<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u2022 Additional parameters defined in the FME workspace.<\/span>
      \u2022 Values can be edited directly in the table cells value.<\/span><\/p>\n

      3. Filename Generation:

          The plugin automatically generates standardized filenames for input and output datasets using the format:<\/font><\/p>

          YYYYMMDD_xxxxx_line2_[input\/output].geojson.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

      To run an FME workspace:<\/span><\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      1. Ensure all required parameters are configured.<\/span>
      2. Review the command in the command preview box.<\/span>
      3. Click the “Execute Command” button.<\/span>
      4. Monitor progress in the status area.<\/span><\/p>\n
