ORIGINAL QUESTION BELOW Thanks to everyone who helped (Suzann Shull, Sammie Lammie, Mike Schaefer, David Jaunay, James Wilson, Kathy Hannaford, Christer Andersson, Cliff Todd). A number of people suggested the Image Analysis extension. Unfortunately I can not justify the price of this as a number of colleagues use ERDAS Imagine. It would appear that this will work just as well for my purposes. Although I have not yet received the software it would appear to be exactly what is required for the work I am doing. Thanks again for everyone who helped. Catriona ORIGINAL QUESTION: I am working on a project where I am mapping habitats on the shore of the Isle of Man and putting them into GIS. I have aerial photographs to help me and would like to be able to put them as a theme/ graphic under the outline map of the island that I am mapping onto. An additional problem is that the photographs are not orthorectified and I would therefore need to be able to move the graphic and manipulate it to fit each part of the shore (rather than assigning them geographical locations). I have a lot of overlap on the photos so it may be that the middle setions are accurate enough to work from despite not being rectified. If anyone has any ideas could you please let me know. Will sum Thanks in advance, Catriona Dryden Marine Projects Officer Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies Port Erin Marine Laboratory Port Erin Isle of Man IM9 6JA Tel: +44 (0)1624 831018 Fax: +44 (0)1624 831043
